The Dutch energy transition depends on increasing quantities of critical materials, of which the future availability and technical usability are uncertain. This call for proposals aims to develop the scientific, technological and governance foundations for an integrated material system perspective that provides insight into material stocks, technical value, future availability and circulation of critical materials in the energy system, thereby supporting strategic autonomy and evidence-based policy making.
