Our world is facing a triple planetary crisis: climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. These interconnected problems are hitting the polar regions particularly hard, as this region is warming up to four times faster than the global average. Each of these crises has been studied relatively well in its own right, but the interaction and cumulative effects – and the potential for action in policy, management and behaviour – present a challenge.
